Itinerary
Morning trip starts from Jammu. Pickup from Hotel, Residence, Airport, Bus Terminus, Railway station or any other location as customer wish and drive to Katra about 50 Km. On Arrival check into the Hotel. Overnight stay in Katra.
After breakfast, early in the morning we proceed further to visit the Holy temple of Vaishno Devi. This temple is situated on the top of the hill. From Katra the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage is about 13 Kms. To visit the temple one has to hire a pony or travel by foot. After visiting the temple we return back to Katra. Overnight stay in Katra.
After breakfast drive to Amritsar about 258 Km. On Arrival check into the Hotel. Evening visit Wagah Border to watch Border Retreat Ceremony. The pageant of the beating of the retreat and the change of guard within handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces here makes the most charming of the spectacles as a daily evening drill. Ascertain the timings before you leave to see this spectacle since these are changed seasonally. Wagha is the only land border open between Pakistan and India. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Morning visit Golden Temple – the most sacred temple for Sikhs. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the Sikh people all over the world. Also visit Jallianwala Bagh – Martyrs’ Memmorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. Here about 1500 and 2000 persons who were attending a peaceful meeting during the freedom movement fell under the bullets of the British General Dyer on 13 April 1919 and the city of Amritsar. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel, the day is free at leisure to do your own activities in and around Amritsar. Later you will be transferred to your residence, Airport, Bus Terminus or Railway Station for your onward journey.
